Investors Panel Tuesday at the Midwest Independent Film Festival

Tuesday at the Midwest Independent Film Festival, the evening opens with THE INVESTORS PANEL, 6:30 pm right in the theater. The panel will bring together brand-new investors, veteran investors, and the producers who court them. Moderator will be Fawzia Mirza, Producer of SXSW 2017 Selection SIGNATURE MOVE. Tuesday's panelists include:

JUST ADDED! Roger Welp, Director of Alternative Investments, RCM Asset Management. Roger has more than 22 years of experience specializing in the global derivatives markets and alternative investments. Roger has also worked in the entertainment industry for the past 10 years, both behind and in front of the lens. In the past two years, he has invested in and produced five independent feature films here in the Midwest and is a partner of the Chicago production company Family Squid.

Matthew Soraci, Investor, Lagralane Group. Matthew is an investor in independent film and Chief Operating Office of Lagralane Group, a new production and investment company whose first slate of film investments includes Sundance 2017 Selection ICARUS and SXSW 2017 Selections LUCKY and SERVED LIKE A GIRL.

Jen Shelby, Executive Producer, Shatterglass Studios. Jen is the owner of multiple highly successful car dealerships as well as Solomon Ventures, LLC real estate holding company, and started Shatterglass Films in Champaign, IL with Brett Hays and Luke Boyce in February 2015, where she serves as a managing partner and executive producer.

Bobby Schwartz, Principal, RCM Asset Management. A former “floor trader” in the famed futures pits of Chicago, Bobby Schwartz is co-founder and principal at RCM Asset Management. Bobby's ten feature film production credits include POWDER BLUE, starring Jessica Biel and Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne.
