WE NEED YOU IN DECEMBER! or “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Donating to The Midwest Independent Film Festival”

For the months of November and December, The Midwest Independent Film Festival has set the lofty yet necessary goal of attracting $10,000 in tax-deductible cash donations.  Why do you need to donate?

This month marks the first ever "ask" in the five-year history of the film festival.  We are hopeful that the tens of thousands of filmmakers and film lovers that have enjoyed our First Tuesday festivities will be able to make a donation of anywhere from $5 to $500 by December 31, 2009.

Your tax-deductible donation will ensure that The Midwest Independent Film Festival will be able to continue to support and strengthen the Midwest independent film community in 2010.  All donors will be recognized in our 2010 festival program
(unless they prefer that whole "anonymous" thing)!  We will be posting updates right here throughout November as we work tirelessly to reach that $10,000 goal.

As of 11:45 a.m. on December 31st, we have received 81 donations for a total of $5,467.00, $4,533.00 short of our goal.  Please make a difference with this film festival by clicking on the Paypal button to donate quickly and securely (and you don't need a Paypal account to donate!):

What's in it for me?
The Midwest Independent Film Festival is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization. Your generous cash donation can be used as a tax deduction!  When you donate via paypal, you will have a receipt e-mailed to you immediately, which should suffice for tax accounting purposes.  Plus: all donors will be recognized in our 2010 festival program (unless they prefer that whole "anonymous" thing)!

I have more questions for you! What should I do?
