Malachi Leopold has been Executive Producer of Left Brain/Right Brain Productions for 7 years. Left Brain/Right Brain Productions is comprised of the Commercial Unit; Milestone Family Video Services; and the Entertainment Group, made up of VC Pixelflix, focused on HD feature films, Third Coast Television, focused on HDTV television, and Chicago Film Finance, which helps filmmakers raise money for their projects.

This comedy stars Illeana Douglas (Ghost World, ABC’s Ugly Betty), Mike Starr (The Black Dahlia, Goodfellas) and an exceptional supporting cast of

Mr. Starr will provide an interesting perspective as to what the actor is looking for when he receives a script and/or offer from an independent filmmaker. Mr. Starr was also in Chicago in 2007 to film Chicago Overcoat, which was cast by Chris Charles, who is also on tonight's panel. Mr. Starr's film credits include Goodfellas, Dumb and Dumber, The Black Dahlia, Knockaround Guys and The Ice Harvest.

O'Connor Casting has cast thousands of commercial, film and television productions since its inception in 1991. Past independent films include 5-25-77, The Trouble with Dee Dee and Witches Night. The agency is currently casting the film Holiday Baggage, starring Chelcie Ross and Corbin Bernsen, set to begin filming this spring.
