“The Art of the Distribution Deal”

Casey Suchan, Co-Director/Co-Producer, Rock the Bells.  Casey Suchan has produced a series of critically acclaimed, best-selling documentaries on Hip Hop culture and history with Quincy (QD3) Jones, III.  Thug Angel, the first documentary to explore Tupac Shakur’s life as a product of his political upbringing, broke pre-sale records for its distributor Image Entertainment. The Freshest Kids has become an underground favorite on the development of East Coast breakdancing.

 

Denis Henry Hennelly, Co-Director/Co-Producer, Rock the Bells.  Denis Henry Hennelly, who has extensive experience both on studio films and independent features, produced Beef and its sequel Beef 2 with Suchan at QD3 Entertainment.  Beef, considered by most Hip Hop fans to be the definitive exploration of the MC battle from Kool Moe Dee to 50 Cent, has certified double platinum and was awarded Best Music DVD of the Year by VIBE Magazine.

 

Maria Finitzo, Director, Terra Incognita.  Maria Finitzo has been an award-winning filmmaker for 20 years. She has directed and produced projects for network television, public broadcasting and the cable market.  Maria is a long time associate of the award-winning documentary company Kartemquin Films. Currently in the works with Kartemquin is Terra Incognita, a feature length film that will put a human face on the promising but controversial science of stem cell research. 

 

Mark Vadik, Director, The Thirsting.  Mark’s first full-length feature, The Thirsting, is currently in distribution.  Mark also pays his bills as an entertainment lawyer.  Beyond that, Writer, Producer, Director are just a few of the hats Mark Vadik wears as owner of BYOB Multimedia. Mark was first recognized as one of the America's "aspiring under-ground writers" in the early 90s when his poetry was featured on 60 Minutes. In addition to having many of his poetry pieces published, Mark has had several plays and screen plays produced, including: "Closures" (play), "American Manhood - Boxed In and Strung Out" (play), "Old Soldiers Don't Like Rain" (play) and most recently "A Scribbler's Tale" (movie).
