Will you kill for a good story?

If you are James Cooper, a 28 year old copy editor with dreams of literary stardom, you will.  After all, your girlfriend was just crowned the "voice of a new America" by the New York literati, and you waste your days editing third-rate textbooks in a dreary Chicago basement. Your first book got panned. Your agent just dumped you. You have no future. But when your girlfriend's corpse ends up sprawled beneath your bedroom window, you finally know what to write about.  Crime Fiction is the story of murder, betrayal and outrageous artistic fortune.

The Tuesday, September 4 screening begins with a Pre-Show Cocktail Reception at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema (2828 North Clark) at 6 p.m.  The reception is presented by Diageo, the world's leading premium drinks company; sponsoring brands include GUINNESS, Crown Royal and Captain Morgan.  Filmmakers Jonathan Eliot and Graham Ballou will be in attendance as CRIME FICTION begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.  Projection services are provided by sponsors Resolution Digital Studios, Mimi Productions, Fletcher and Zacuto.  The post-screening reception will be held at the fine Mediterranean bistro Cousin’s at 2833 North Broadway.
