
Chicago, IL – First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival continue with the Festival Premiere of Something Better Someplace Else on Tuesday, September 7th at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema, 2828 North Clark beginning at 6 p.m. This delightful tale of yearning and restlessness from writer-director Ron Lazzeretti features an all-star Chicago cast, including Jenifer Tyler, Christian Stolte and David Pasquesi. Writer-director Ron Lazzeretti and producer Ed Amaya will be in attendance for a post-screening discussion with the audience.
Film Synopsis:
A bride
comes on to a priest in a motel room.
A bouquet of flowers
from a stranger takes on a life of its own.
A man's last day at the
office proves to be the longest day of all.
It's family moving day,
but no one's moving.
This is Something
Better Somewhere Else-
a collective tale of yearning and restlessness told through four distinct but
thematically linked stories.
Chicago writer-director Ron Lazzeretti collected two previously released
shorts and added two new ones to create this impressive anthology.
Screening Information: Tuesday, September 7, 2010 -- screening begins with a Pre-Show Cocktail Reception (sponsored by Heineken and Candid Wines) at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema (2828 North Clark) at 6 p.m. The Producers Panel will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the theater. Something Better Someplace Else premieres promptly at 7:30 p.m. A post-screening reception will be held immediately following the film at Forno Diablo, 433 West Diversey.
