Saints Rest

Director:
Noga Ashkenazi

A drama set in small-town Iowa, SAINTS REST tells the story of two estranged sisters, who over the course of one summer, form a connection through their shared love of music as they grieve the recent death of their mother.  Featuring amazing original music performed live on set, the film stars Hani Furstenberg (The Loneliest Planet), Allie Trimm (Original Broadway Cast of "13"), and Dana Ivgy (Zero Motivation, Next to Her).

SAINTS REST is set in small-town Iowa and celebrates the authentic aesthetics of the rural Midwest: Self-made music in wide open coffee shops, near-empty bowling alleys, and quiet Saturday nights spent sitting on the porch, waiting for a train to pass.  Using simple guitar and piano-based music, the film serves as "musical comfort-food" for those who miss home, their childhood and their families, regardless of how imperfect it all may seem from a distance.
