Tuesday's Special Guests Include Actor-Writer-Producer Fawzia Mirza
Fawzia Mirza, wearing the hats of lead actor, co-writer and producer for the SXSW hit and Outfest Grand Jury Prize Winner SIGNATURE MOVE, will be joined by Director Jennifer Reeder and Producer Brian Hieggelke for a post-premiere Q&A this Tuesday, October 3rd at the Midwest Independent Film Festival.
As for Mirza's on-screen performance, film critic Dana Piccoli raves, "“Mirza is dynamite as Zaynab, playing up the wonderful physical comedy of the wrestling scenes with perfect timing and unabashed exuberance. She also nails the more intimate emotional scenes which give the film a layer of levity and meshes nicely with the lesbian rom/com elements. She and Sanchez have an easy chemistry which will have you rooting for them."
First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival will present the Chicago Premiere of SIGNATURE MOVE, declared “One of the Most Anticipated American Films of 2017” by Filmmaker Magazine, at a special venue this month, the historic Music Box Theatre, with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. The Chicago-made romantic comedy has earned critical acclaim and festival wins across the country, including the prestigious Grand Jury Prize for U.S. Narrative Feature at Outfest this year.
