Join Midwest Film Festival on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 6:00 PM for a special evening celebrating homegrown Midwestern talent and stories. We'll begin the evening with a pre-screening panel, then showcase the works of 8 filmmakers, and finish the evening with a filmmakers Q&A.

The Panel:

Finding Pathways for Homegrown Talent

Join MFF for an engaging discussion between creative individuals who have forged paths to success in the production industry. The panel will feature a special highlight about programs that are aimed to support youth who are interested in pursuing a career in film. Panelists include those who have both organized and been participants of these programs, and they will share their experience and knowledge.

The Screening:

The Reversal By Jen Boles

Ray & The Agave By James Kozar

Alone Together By Katie Sponseller

Changing the Disciple By Kamelya Alexan

Patois By Andre Muir & Danielle Alston

Common Questions By Jessica Batson

The Audition By Eric Liberacki

Chicken By Emma Li

The Filmmaker's Q&A:

Tap into the minds of the creatives themselves to learn more about their process, what creating during quarantine looked like, and what inspired their films. You'll also have the chance to ask questions through the comments section that will be presented and answered live.
