Supporting the next generation of Midwestern filmmakers.
The Midwest Film Festival is dedicated to supporting the next generation of Midwestern filmmakers.
Emerging Filmmakers Night showcases seven films from talented creators in the first decade of their careers. From film school students to those pursuing a lifelong passion, these filmmakers are making their mark and becoming an integral part of our community.
Accessibility
Midwest Film Festival is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive experiences where everyone can fully engage with the stories, conversations, and creative community that define our festival.
Our 2026 programming takes place across three unique venues—Casino Royale at Rivers Casino, Midwest Royale at Ramova Theatre, and the Best of the Midwest Awards at CineCity Studios. We work closely with each venue and our partners to support accessible experiences and provide accommodations whenever possible.
We strive to make our programs accessible by prioritizing services such as closed captioning, assistive listening devices, audio description when available, wheelchair-accessible spaces, and other accommodations that help ensure every guest can participate comfortably. As our festival continues to grow, we remain committed to listening, learning, and improving accessibility throughout every aspect of the festival experience.
If you require accessibility accommodations or have specific requests, please contact our team at info@midwestfilm.com. Whenever possible, we kindly ask for at least one week's advance notice so we can coordinate with our venue partners and make the necessary arrangements.
We also welcome your feedback. If you've attended one of our events, we invite you to complete our Accessibility Scorecard and share your experience. Your insights help us continue building a festival that is accessible, welcoming, and inclusive for everyone.
